Newton Parking Structures Ltd. and MMMC Architects have won a design-build competition for the University of Windsor to build two new campus structures.
Contractor EllisDon Corp. is poised to start construction in May on an estimated $45-million performing arts centre at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Designed by Snohetta Architects in collaboration with Ottawa’s ema Architects Inc., the 90,400-square-foot Isabel Bader Centre will incorporate the Stella Buck Building a former 19th century brewery.
The Freeman railway station, built in 1906, will be moved from a temporary location beside a fire station in Burlington, Ontario to land provided by chemical manufacturer Ashland Inc.
